Bob Merigan was born and raised in East County, living in La Mesa for the
first 19 years of his life. A graduate of Grossmont High School class of "67". After a brief time in
Santa Barbara, he moved to the family ranch in Descanso and has lived there ever since, raising a family and attending to
his grading business and to his ranching duties. Having been a self taught guitarist and jamming for years with friends,
in Santa Barbara he played with a new formed band at local high schools and bars in the late sixties. After moving to
the mountains, he has played with just about all the local musicians in his town of Descanso. Also, playing in some
of the churches he has attended, Bob has been a worship leader and worship team member at Grace Fellowship in El Cajon.
He now plays on Sundays at the Chapel of the Hills Methodist Church in Descanso with the "diva" Ms. Rogers who is
also in the band. Bob enjoys vintage guitars and has quite a few old Gibsons and a Fender blackface super reverb amplifier
that he has had ever since he started playing electric guitar. Also in his arsenal, is a 1961 D-35 Martin acoustic that
he has owned since 1970. Singing just came naturally to Bob and he credits his Mom for always encouraging him to sing
all different types of music. A couple of years in "Boys Chorus" in the seventh and eighth grades as well
as all those years of jamming and church has given him the skills he needs to be effective in his lead vocals and harmonies
with the Pine Creek Posse. Bob enjoys his family, his farming, his tractors, and his town. He helps out everyone
he can when needed, but his true love is his music. |

Paul Martin has an extensive history, born in Pennsylvania,
he was in his first band, the Starliners in the seventh grade. Paul has played backup guitar for Chuck Berry, The Coasters,
and the Skyliners. He has played with Bill Black's Combo, Arthur Lee and Love, The Nomads, Favorite Son, Gary Puckett
and the Union Gap, The Checkmates Ltd., The Association, Spanky and Our Gang, The Turtles, Theo and The Zydeco Patrol, and
The Bayou Brothers. He is the lead guitar player and backup singer for the Posse. |

Len Claesson is our bass player. Len has extensive experience and his ability playing bass compliments the
style of music we play. He was previously with the band, Retrospect.

Charlie Ross has been playing drums his entire life.
His first band was a dixieland band in seventh grade called the Four Fakirs. Charlie was in high school orchestra and
marching band and in college ROTC marching band. After graduation and becoming a teacher, Charlie played in a local
band called Norma Mesa and the Scanners. After about 25 years of not playing, he was asked to join a Southern Rock band
called Full Access. He then started sitting in with a band called Stampede who were hosting an open mic night.
Here is where he met Paul Martin. He has been with Pine Creek Posse since it started. Charlie has also played
in a band called Wild Mountain and has been the back-up drummer for several other bands locally. Charlie plays congas, bongos and most percussion instruments in addition to the kit he plays with the posse.
His favorite set-up is his Pearl Professional Series in natural finish with a wood rim maple DP Pacific snare, single DW kick
pedal and vintage Zildjian cymbals. |
