Charlie Ross has been playing drums his entire life. His first band was a dixieland band in seventh grade called the Four Fakirs. Charlie was in high school orchestra and marching band and in college ROTC marching band. After graduation and becoming a teacher, Charlie played in a local band called Norma Mesa and the Scanners. After about 25 years of not playing, he was asked to join a Southern Rock band called Full Access. He then started sitting in with a band called Stampede who were hosting an open mic night. Here is where he met Paul Martin. He has been with Pine Creek Posse since it started. Charlie has also played in a band called Wild Mountain and has been the back-up drummer for several other bands locally.
Charlie plays congas, bongos and most percussion instruments in addition to the kit he plays with the posse. His favorite set-up is his Pearl Professional Series in natural finish with a wood rim maple DP Pacific snare, single DW kick pedal and vintage Zildjian cymbals.
